The Arts Connection Raises $7,000 Towards the Emergency Department Mental Health Campaign
Through a creative, entertaining community fundraiser that transformed the performing arts school and daycare centre into a Halloween mansion walkthrough, The Arts Connection raised $7,000 towards Richmond Hospital Foundation’s Emergency Department Mental Health Campaign.
“You can talk the talk, but you need to walk the walk with your children,” says Linda Shirley, President of The Arts Connection. “Engaging children so they are able to see firsthand what can be accomplished is a bigger lesson than any book or classroom session we, as educators and parents, can pass on. That’s what makes future good citizens.”
We are grateful for The Arts Connection’s contribution which will help provide a calmer and effective environment for patients experiencing mental health conditions visiting the Emergency Department. Their commitment to inspiring future generations and leading by example will help foster a culture of compassion, showing young people the impact they can have in their own communities.

Every contribution helps enhance local health care in Richmond. Visit https://www.richmondhospitalfoundation.com/ways-to-give/all-the-ways-to-give/ to learn more.
