Yurkovich Family Pavilion

When a loved one needs health care, nothing matters more than access to compassionate, high‑quality care supported by the space and technology to deliver it efficiently.

Work is underway for the new acute care tower at Richmond Hospital. Designed to care for a growing community, this once‑in‑a‑generation project will help more families receive the care they need. The Yurkovich Family Pavilion will expand access to modern, expert health care while offering comfort, dignity, and support during life’s most vulnerable moments, now and into the future.

Latest Updates

The multi-level parkade is currently under demolition to make way for site preparation groundwork, which is expected to begin in 2026.

This area, once home to the rotunda, has now been cleared as part of the broader new hospital site, which will extend well beyond this space.

Earthquake safe, built above the flood plain, and fully carbon neutral, the new acute care tower will enable the best available care for families today and for generations to come.

Discover how new technology, advanced equipment, and donor support through the POWER UP Campaign will help elevate care in the Yurkovich Family Pavilion—creating more space for more patients, smoother health care journeys, and greater peace of mind for families when they need it most.

“Thanks to donors, a new acute care tower, the Yurkovich Family Pavilion, will mean that finally our facilities will be able to match the calibre of care that our Richmond Hospital medical teams offer.”
